FAQs for Energy Boost
Q: How do you change Energy Boost strength settings?
A: For customers based in America. When you select Energy Boost on your machine’s screen, the dispense amount is set to a default setting, 100mg per 12 fl. oz. You can swipe left or right on the icon to lower or raise the caffeine levels by 20 mg, respectively. With this customization option, users can put just the right amount of pep in their step.
For customers based in Canada. The caffeine content of Energy Boost is different in Canadian machines due to regulatory limits on caffeinated beverages. We will continue to monitor guidance from Canadian regulatory authorities and explore opportunities for future updates.
Q: What does this enhancement taste like?
A: Most users find Energy Boost to be flavorless, while some report a mild taste. If you do notice a mild taste (and don’t find it enjoyable), combining this enhancement with one of our 17 zero- and low-calorie flavor options usually helps to neutralize that profile in the final beverage.
Q: Are these caffeine levels safe?
The caffeine level selections for Energy Boost are designed to align with established guidelines for healthy adults. Health authorities (FDA, Health Canada) recommend limiting caffeine intake to approximately 400 mg per day from all sources. Consumers should monitor their total daily caffeine consumption. As with any drink containing caffeine, this product is not recommended for children, people sensitive to caffeine, pregnant persons, or persons who are nursing.
The onscreen nutrition counter and new visual “Caffeine Clarity” pop-up helps users easily see how much caffeine is included in each beverage.
Q: What is the Caffeine Clarity pop-up on my Bevi machine?
The Caffeine Clarity feature adds an on-screen pop-up indicator on all Bevi machines that displays the amount of caffeine being dispensed while a drink is poured. This helps users keep track of caffeine levels in their beverage.
The pop-up appears when the user holds down the pour button after selecting a caffeinated option, and disappears if the user changes their selection or when the dispense screen resets. The pop-up categorizes caffeine levels using familiar comparisons, such as tea or coffee strength, to help users understand the amount being dispensed.
Q: What are the different levels of Caffeine Clarity on a Bevi machine?
The levels for Caffeine Clarity are:
- 0-19 mg = Less than Tea Strength
- 20 – 50 mg= ~ Tea Strength
- 51-100 mg= ~Coffee Strength
- 101-300 mg = ~Energy Drink Strength
- 301-400mg = Approaching Daily Limit
- >400 mg = Recommended Daily Limit
Q: How does Bevi’s Energy Boost enhancement compare to coffee and tea?
U.S.-based Bevi machines have Energy Boost set to 80 mg, 100 mg, and 120 mg intervals for caffeine per serving. This range is mostly below the caffeine level for brewed black coffee, in the middle of the range for brewed black tea, and well above the range for brewed green tea.

Q: How does Bevi’s Energy Boost enhancement compare to energy drinks?
Bevi’s Energy Boost offers comparable amounts of caffeine to the average energy drink, without the additional calories or high levels of added sugar.

Q: How does Bevi’s Energy Boost compare to its Focus Blend enhancement?
Bevi’s Focus Blend is a wellness-forward functional enhancement featuring a low dose of caffeine and cognitive-enhancing ingredients. Bevi’s Energy Boost delivers more caffeine for a faster and greater energizing effect, while Focus Blend is designed to provide a more balanced effect. (And yes, you can have both Focus Blend and Energy Boost in the same Bevi machine.)

Q: What if I have a question that isn’t answered here?
